Why does my robot fall backwards when climbing the wall of my pool?

  • Make sure the pump motor is pumping water. Check the pump motor and impellor.
  • Remove any obstructions from the pool walls (ladders) if necessary. The robot could be hitting the obstructions and falling backwards.
  • Clean the filter bag, it could be clogged. Try running the robot without the filter bag and see if the robot operates normally.
  • Check the handle buoyancy.  Place the robot into the pool, the handle should stand straight. If the handle falls over, the handle is damaged and may need to be replaced. To replace your robot’s handle, please contact an Authorized Service Center near you by using our Locator or call all our Customer Service Hotline at 1-800-845-4856
  •  If you added extra flotation devices to the robot please remove them. The robot may be too light.
